Description

Participants will learn how, when, and why to use computer-guided surgery and the basic principles that constitute it. They will acquire skills for file management and how to send them to the 3D BTK center, which will handle the entire design process. Finally, by practicing on stereolithographic models, they will simulate the implant placement for a case involving their own patient. By the end of the course, participants will have gained all the necessary skills to master a guided surgery case, from selecting the ideal case to the surgical procedure, including virtual design.

DR. ALESSANDRO CUCCHI

Dr. Alessandro Cucchi graduated from the University of Verona in 2009 and completed his specialization in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Milan in 2012. In 2016, he earned his Ph.D. in Surgical Sciences with a focus on Reconstructive Issues in Maxillofacial Surgery from the University of Bologna. He also obtained further specialization in Mucogingival and Regenerative Periodontal Surgery at the University of Milan during the same year. In 2020, he completed a second-level Master’s degree in zygomatic implantology. He is a founding member and scientific director of the GBR Academy and an active member of the Digital Dentistry Society (DDS) and the Italian Academy of Osseointegration (IAO).
