ANATOMICAL SURGERY COURSE
Description
INTERNATIONAL COURSE IN ENGLISH
A new theoretical-practical specialization course that provides a very high degree of training, with hands-on. The program includes in-depth theoretical notions on the anatomy and physiology of the splanchnocranium. The students will then be teached on the anatomical landmarks and on the surgical protocol to position IUXTA-3D with screw-retained prosthetic protocol.
The practical part is carried out in the dissecting room on fresh specimens.
The attendants:
• will improve their anatomical vision;
• will learn the most up-to-date and advanced implant protocols in the context of resolutions of severe atrophies;
• will be enabled to expose the patient, in the most appropriate way, the biological costs / benefits of the learned treatment.
A maximum of 6 participants will be admitted and divided into 3 pairs, assigned by the tutor based on training preferences and professional skills. Each pair will work hands-on on one specimen.

Thursday 20 March 2026 – THEORICAL PART
- upper maxillary anatomy with particular reference to the maxillary sinus;
- structural anatomy of the mandible;
- the rational design of the IUXTA-3D;
- surgical protocol and correct use of the dedicated kit;
- presentation of the case with the use of 3D models.
Friday 21 March 2026 – PRACTICAL PART ON FRESH SKULLS
- surgical access to the upper jaw: limits and landmarks;
- the surgical anatomy of the mandible;
- dractical part on fresh skulls: the placement of the IUXTA-3D implant with the use of the dedicated kit;
- discussion of clinica cases and fina remarks.
DR. STEFANO NEGRINI
Dr. Stefano Negrini graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Brescia and specialized with honors in Maxillofacial Surgery in 2003 at the University of Ferrara. He completed advanced training at the Institute of Human Physiology (University of Brescia) and in the Maxillofacial Surgery Units of the Civil Hospitals of Brescia, the Clinical Institutes of Improvement in Milan, and S. Anna Hospital of Ferrara, taking part in clinical and scientific activities. Since 2005, he has been Medical Director at the Maxillofacial Surgery Unit of the Civil Hospital of Brescia, where he was appointed Local Quality Coordinator in 2006. He has been a member of the Italian Society of Maxillofacial Surgery since 1995.
