Description

ITALIAN COURSE

Participants will learn how, when, and why to use zygomatic-pterygoid implants and Iuxta 3D implants to restore severe maxillary atrophy, including with immediate loading.
They will gain in-depth knowledge of the relevant anatomy and the indications and contraindications for these solutions, learning the most up-to-date surgical techniques for implant placement in alternative sites such as the zygomatic bone, pterygoid process, and nasal floor.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • identify suitable cases;
  • explain the treatment to the patient;
  • perform immediate-load rehabilitation in cases of severe atrophy.

Prof. Umberto Zanetti
Graduate in Medicine and Surgery, Specialist in Maxillofacial Surgery, Specialist in Microbiology and Virology. He practiced surgery at the Maxillofacial Unit of the Azienda Spedali Civili di Brescia as Head of the Maxillofacial Surgery Unit within the Head and Neck Department. Maxillofacial consultant for the San Donato Group of Hospitals in Brescia, with a particular focus on advanced implant surgery and the surgical treatment of dento-skeletal deformities. Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Brescia, teaching the integrated course in Maxillofacial Surgery for the Bachelor’s Degree Program in Medicine and Surgery and for the Bachelor’s Degree Program in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics.
