CONSERVATION OF SURGICAL INSTRUMENTS
Surgical trays are used to safely store and sterilize surgical instruments and accessories for BTK implant systems. They are made of highly impact-resistant thermoplastic material, whose use in the medical field is now well-established, and are suitable for frequent sterilization in an autoclave.
PROTOCOL FOR DENSE BONE (TAPPING)
The quality of the bone is assessed using radiographic imaging techniques during clinical examination. Dense cortical bone offers greater primary implant stability. On the other hand, cancellous bone provides less initial stability, and this must be taken into account in preparing the implant site. This also influences the time required for osseointegration.

The maxillary sinus lift is a procedure performed to increase the amount of bone in the molar area of the upper arch to prepare it for the placement of one or more dental implants.
When upper molars are lost, the sinus cavity tends to move closer to the maxillary ridge; over the time, the edges of the cavity can be so near to the ridge that there is no bone left to place implants.
By “raising” the Schneider’s membrane that covers the floor of the maxillary sinus, the dentist is able to add autologous, heterologous or synthetic bone materials to re-create the adequate conditions for implant placement.
