Description
A new theoretical-practical specialization course that provides a very high degree of training, with hands-on.
The program includes in-depth theoretical notions on the anatomy and physiology of the splanchnocranium.
The students will then be teached on the anatomical landmarks and on the surgical protocol to position IUXTA 3D with screw-retained prosthetic protocol.
The practical part is carried out in the dissecting room on fresh specimens.
The attendants:
• will improve their anatomical vision;
• will learn the most up-to-date and advanced implant protocols in the context of resolutions of severe atrophies;
• will be enabled to expose the patient, in the most appropriate way, the biological costs / benefits of the learned treatment.
OPERATING METHODS
A maximum number of 6 participants are admitted to the training, each of whom will operate directly in first person on a specimens. Participants will be divided into 3 working pairs at the sole discretion of the tutor, on the basis of the training preferences expressed and the professional skills shown. Each pair of participants will work together on a specimen. All the materials needed for the course will be provided by the BTK Academy organization.
We are at complete disposal of the students to satisfy any request or need for specific equipments.
The working stations used inside the Wet-Lab will be arranged in such a way as to favor social distancing.

PERFORMANCE OF THE THEORETICAL PART
• upper maxillary anatomy with particular reference to the maxillary sinus;
• structural anatomy of the mandible;
• the rational design of the screw-retained IUXTA 3D implant;
• surgical protocol and correct use of the dedicated kit;
• presentation of the case with the use of 3D models.

• the surgical anatomy of the mandible;

DISCUSSION OF CLINICAL CASES AND FINAL REMARKS
Dr. STEFANO NEGRINI
Dr. Stefano Negrini graduated in the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Brescia and he specialised in Maxillo Facial Surgery at the University of Ferrara both with Honour; he was already a Medical Director at the Maxillo Facial Surgery Unit at the Policlinico of Milan, now he is Medical Director at the Maxillo Facial Surgery Unit at the Spedali Civili of Brescia and Adjunct Professor at University of Brescia.
In the past year he specialized himself in implantology, pre-prosthetic surgery, orthognathic surgery, TMJ and ONJ surgery.
He took part in many Courses and Congresses in Italy and abroad, also as speaker. He is the author of many scientific works that are published on italian and international scientific journals.
He is a member of the Italian Society of Maxillofacial Surgery (SICMF) and of the Digital Dentistry Society (DDS).
